Intake of Ostend, 1706; That Wunder Glukliche Erobung der Haupt Vestung Ostende. Conquest from Ostend on the French by the Allies after Sperm and Bombing, July 6, 1706. In the central representation the bombardment of the city, in a richly decorated ornamental picture frame with rocks with shells and seaweed. At the top of a river god and river godin and the eagle of Jupiter. At the bottom of a cartouche with the description of the events in German, with two large fish on either side. Leaf in the bound set of plates released under the title: RepraesTatio Belli... of the Spanish Successions-Krieg [CA. 1720]
